What Is Delta-10 THC?

Delta 10 is a brand new cannabinoid that has psychoactive effects, otherwise known as a “high”. This compound is one of a few that get you high, as included in the Delta family. The others are Delta 10, Delta 9, and Delta 8 currently. While others may be discovered soon.

Delta-10 is described as more of a Sativa that gives energy, focus, and motivation with a heavier mental high compared to Delta 8 THC that is more of an Indica that gives a much lower mental euphoria and a higher body high comparatively. Like Delta 8, Delta 10 THC is an isomer of Delta 9 THC. This means that the molecular structure is very similar. Although not the same. This means that the effects of Delta 10 will be slightly different than Delta 9, and also Delta 8.

That’s what makes this compound so special compared to regular Delta 9 THC. The effects are more clean, with less intensity. It is around 60% the potency of Delta 9, while it is 90% the potency of Delta 8 THC. Delta 10 is still being studied and analyzed today with new user information being released while new products become available.

There are 113 different compounds or more, and Delta-10 happens to be one of the most useful and powerful so far. We expect a lot of exciting things from Delta 10 THC products.

As of now, it is believed that delta 10 THC is legal federally.  The reason why we say “believed” is because this cannabinoid from Hemp is so new that it has not yet actually been discussed by legislators in Congress.  However, delta 10 almost certainly complies with the Farm Bill, which was passed in 2018 in order to legalize hemp and all of its individual compounds except for delta 9 THC.

Under federal law, hemp products are legal as long as they have no more than 0.3% delta 9, and delta 10 does adhere to this stipulation. Basically, there is no reason to believe that delta 10 would be illegal as it’s similar to delta 8, which has been established as a federally legal compound. There is possibility in the future that states will start to actively speak out against or for compounds such as Delta-10 THC and Delta 8 THC.

However, for now Delta 10 fits in a legal loophole, that will likely be addressed on the next Farm Bill in 2022. With hopeful legalization of Delta 10 and all other Delta compounds. Because CBD and other compounds are normalized as legal, that will hopefully pave the way for full legalization of the different THC’s. As they are equally as useful and beneficial as other hemp-derived compounds.

The first thing that you definitely should check and confirm is that Delta 10 is legal in your state according to law or documents. This can change at any moment, so its good to be updated with your state.

Tip #2: Ensure The Delta-10 Product Is Hemp-Derived

In order to be legal from the Farm Bill, the Delta 10 product must come from the hemp plant. This is because Delta-10 from Marijuana is still illegal. Any extractions from technical Marijuana is illegal as Marijuana is a controlled substance. This means the Delta-10 must come from Hemp. All Delta 10 products from Binoid CBD are hemp-derived.

Tip #3: Look for a Lab Report COA

One of the most important steps to identify and find the lab reports section for the Delta 10 products. As any company producing those products would want to verify legitimacy and to make sure all of the lab tests check out for heavy metals, solvents, and even dosage and concentrations. The lab report should give a high percentage to Delta-10, not 10-20%. Which is what some brands do to claim that the product is Delta 10 THC, although its mostly other compounds.

Tip #5: Be Aware Of Your Tolerance and Delta 10 THC Dosage

Finally, this is one of the most important points for safety. Because Delta 10 is a psychoactive compound, make sure you are using it in a safe and responsible manner. This compound does react differently than CBD and other compounds might in your body.

That means start low, and slowly increase until you get your proper Delta 10 THC Dosage. The strength or potency of Delta-10 is around 80-90% of Delta 8, and 60% of Delta 9. Also, do not operate machinery or vehicles after taking Delta 10. You would be under the influence and at risk of putting your life or other people’s life in danger.

What Is The Potency & Strength of Delta 10 THC?

Here is the list of potency and strength differences of Delta 10 vs other compounds such as Delta 9 and Delta 8. Here is the list from most potent to least potent:

  1. Delta 9 THC (Most Potent)
  2. Delta 8 THC (70% Delta 9 THC)
  3. Delta 10 THC (60% Delta 9 THC)

As you can see, Delta 9 THC is the most potent compound by far. However, it is also the compound with the most side effects such as anxiety and paranoia. Delta 8 THC is the second most potent, and is described to have a more prominent body high than head high. Delta 10 is the least potent on the list, but also has one of the strongest mental highs and euphoria’s on this list besides Delta-9.

As of now, delta 10 THC is legal in all but eleven states, and you also should know that those same states do not permit the use of delta 8 THC.  This is because these states have determined that all THC compounds are illegal. And if they have not stated Delta-10 specifically yet, they will at some point.

Now, as delta 10 begins to become more accessible in our industry, these laws may change.  It is important that you continue to check with your state laws to make sure that delta-10 remains legal so that you can know for certain that you’re not breaking the law.  Similarly, the states that have outlawed it may reverse their decision at some point down the line, as cannabis laws are rapidly evolving across the country.
