That being said, the general dosing guidelines for THC-O are different from that of other cannabinoids that we are used to simply because the way in which the compound activates in the endocannabinoid system is unique.
THC-O Dosage vs. THC-O Strength
Bear in mind that there are two key factors that determine how much THC-O we are taking each time we consume a product.
THCO Dosage: Dosage reflects the amount of product that we take, such as 4 puffs off of a vape cartridge, or 1 dropper of a tincture.
THCO Strength: Strength reflects the number of milligrams of THC-O in the product, thus indicating the concentration of THC-O that is in each cartridge. How Long Does THC-O Take To Work?
THC-O acetate products kick in within 30-40 minutes if vaped, and 1 hour if ingested through THC-O gummies or THC-O tinctures. Because THC-O Acetate products works like any other product that you would inhale or digest. However, just like Delta 9 THC, be careful with ingestion because you might feel the need to take more when in reality it has not hit you yet. For this reason, we suggest waiting at least 2 hours before taking more THCO.
Additionally, as an acetate, THC-O acetate vapes may take 30-40 minutes longer than regular Delta 8 vapes to kick in because acetate’s metabolize extremely efficiently. What Can Influence How Much THC-O You Might Want to Take?
Obviously, how much THC-O-Acetate you take in one sitting has the biggest influence over how you feel. #1: Your Tolerance to THC-O
THC-O-Acetate is ultimately a form of THC that naturally occurs in the compound, except that it’s been chemically modified to take on different properties. That being said, your overall THC tolerance can play a role in how THC-O affects you.
If you’ve never consumed any form of THC before, you may have an incredibly low tolerance to THC-O that means that an extremely low dose will feel potent in your system. To calculate the number of milligrams you’re taking in per puff, you need to determine the total milligram strength of the cartridge as provided by the manufacturer and divide that by the number of milliliters in the cartridge. Then, divide that number by 100, as there are about 100 puffs in each milliliter of distillate.

THC-O Tincture Dosage
Dosing with THC-O acetate tinctures requires that you divide the number of milligrams of THC-O in the bottle by the number of milliliters it contains. For instance, if you have a 1000mg 30ml tincture, that comes out to about 33 milligrams per milliliter, with the dropper cap that comes with the bottle usually containing a milliliter of oil at a time.
Once you determine the number of milligrams in each dropper, you can make adjustments to the dosage amount based on the type of experience you want to achieve, as seen below. Because oral products absorb into the body less efficiently than inhalable products, we compensate for this with higher dosage amounts.

THC-O disposable vapes are portioned out just like vape cartridges, as they contain the same formulas as cartridges do, but the technology behind the vaping process is what differentiates disposables from vape carts. Therefore, once again, you’ll determine how many milligrams are in each puff by dividing the total number of milligrams in the disposable by the number of milliliters it contains, and then dividing that number by 100.

THC-O Gummies Dosage
THC-O gummies are ingested, and the effects can last for much longer than vapes and tinctures, although the effects can be a bit more subdued. Because they are oral products like tinctures, the dosing guidelines are the same.
