As is often the case with all things hemp-related, the answer isn’t as simple as a yes or no.  It depends on the concentrates, as well as your personal preferences.  Some people may love the result of mixing dabs, and others may feel that by combining them, they miss out on the unique qualities of each which are the most prominent.  For example, mixing wax and shatter together can mean that you don’t get the purest, boldest flavor that comes from the wax, and that the wax brings down the potency of the shatter.

Also, many people find that the temperature that works for one type of concentrate isn’t ideal for another.  For example, you might find that wax does best at a higher temperature, but a thinner, runnier concentrate like sauce works best at a lower temp.

There are Many Different Kinds of Concentrates and Dabs Out There

Obviously, there are lots of types of concentrates on the market, each produced using a specific method, and producing a totally unique result.  The main thing that makes each dab different from the rest is its consistency, which can range from a liquid to a hard solid, and everything in between.  What this means is that some types of concentrates may be more compatible with one another than others, and this is highly a matter of personal preference.  

Mixing Any Type of Dab with Pure Distillate Usually Works Just Fine

Distillate is a type of concentrate that’s unique from the others out there, because it’s the purified, concentrated extract of a single cannabinoid, like THC-P, or delta 8 THC.  It’s a clear or light-colored, flavorless, and odorless liquid that’s quite viscous, and it contains no terpenes or any other compounds.  Because of this, it’s common to add a pure distillate to another type of concentrate in your rig or other type of dabbing device. 

What this does is boost the cannabinoid content of the vapor, but not the terpenes.  Plus, because distillate contains no terpenes, it’s a lot more lenient to various temperatures without risk of burning, as terpenes can be particularly sensitive to the temperature you’re dabbing at.

You Will Simply Need to Experiment with Different Combinations and Temperatures

Essentially, if you wanna try mixing dabs together, you’ll have to experiment to find what works for you.  You’ll need to not only mix and match different types of concentrates, but also look to experiment with different temperature settings, since each concentrate may respond best to a particular temperature.  Basically, it all comes down to finding some sort of middle-ground.

Might Be Best Overall to Stick to Just One Dab at a Time

While nothing is really stopping you from mixing different types of concentrates into one dabbing session, you also might not see any real reason to do so.  Dabbing is amazingly rewarding, and mixing concentrates together may not give you a big enough difference in your ability to feel satisfied to make it worth your time.  Most people are perfectly happy with one type of concentrate for one dabbing session, and another type of concentrate for another, rotating between different types while ultimately sticking to one type per dab session.

Mixing Different Strains

One exception is mixing the same type of concentrate, but in two different strains.  Mixing different strains is a great way to get the most out of a completely customized variety of effects, such as blissfulness, euphoria, energy, etc., that you’re looking to feel, along with a totally unique flavor profile that rounds out the entire experience flawlessly.
