THCP-O Effects and Benefits

THCP-O, aka tetrahydrocannabiphorol-O Acetate or THCP-O Acetate is the new acetated form of tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THC-P), carefully developed to be an even more potent cannabinoid than its predecessor, with a high reported to be much longer-lasting.  Most people who are interested in trying this new addition to the hemp market are looking for a psychoactive effect unlike any other, complete with intense feelings of euphoria and a body high that feels unbelievably relaxing.  But, does THCP-O have any other benefits beyond its ability to get us high?

Since THCP-O Acetate is just THC-P with an acetate, it basically provides the same effects associated with THC-P, only stronger.  And, because THC-P and delta 9 THC work on the same cannabinoid receptors, it’s safe to assume that THCP-O ultimately has the same, but more potent, benefits of delta 9.  So, we will take a look at what some of those potential benefits are.

Why is There Still Some Key Things to Learn About THCP-O?

Essentially, research on PHC’s benefits is extremely limited.  Because the cannabinoid is partially metabolized, it’s hard to compare it to naturally occurring cannabinoids in hemp, like THC-P, delta 8 THC, delta 10 THC, and so on.  We don’t know how its metabolite form changes the way in which the cannabinoid attaches to different cannabinoid receptors in the body.  Hopefully, research will emerge in the near future to show us more data.  In the meantime, here is what we do know about Hydrox4phc.

#1: THCP-O May Boost Appetite

Almost all of us have experienced “the munchies” after taking THC cannabinoids, where we suddenly feel an urge to snack like there’s no tomorrow.  It’s well known that THC cannabinoids boost appetite, and this can be extremely useful clinically speaking, as certain conditions can interfere with a person’s desire or ability to eat.  One study found that THC increased the appetite of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, so likely, THCP-O offers the same potential benefit.

#2: THCP-O May Be an Antiemetic

THCP-O may alleviate nausea, which can be a hugely disruptive symptom especially if it’s chronic.  For decades, various studies have shown that THC works with cannabinoid receptors in the brain that regulate serotonin, and many don’t know that nausea is actually mediated by serotonin.  This is why the cannabinoid has been used for years specifically for nausea.

#3: THCP-O May Have Positive Effects on Your Mood

THCP-O likely offers the same mood-regulating effects as other THC cannabinoids.  The, uplifting and often euphoric effects of THC are very well-known, and that’s one of the key reasons people use it.  Research consistently shows that THC acts on the neurotransmitters in the brain that affect our overall mood as well as our stress levels, having potential antidepressant properties along with stress-reducing properties that can help a person feel calmer.

#4: THCP-O May Be Helpful for Sleep

It’s not surprising that THCP-O might improve sleep, as this is another thing that’s common with THC cannabinoids.  THC is known to make many of us feel drowsy or sleepy, whether we want it to or not, thanks to its soothing body high and calming cerebral effects that slow down the nervous system and clear out worries that keep us lying awake at night.  Cannabinoids interact with melatonin, serotonin and cortisol, three critical neurotransmitters involved in our sleep process.

#5: THCP-O May Act as an Anti-Inflammatory

Many cannabinoids are known for their anti-inflammatory properties, including delta 9 THC.  After all, THC in the form of marijuana is commonly prescribed to patients who deal with chronic pain, through medical marijuana programs.  Given that, it’s not a surprise that THCP-O is likely to offer these same anti-inflammatory qualities, which can be incredibly useful to anyone who is struggling with an inflammatory condition such as arthritis, fibromyalgia or certain inflammatory digestive ailments.

#6: THCP-O May Act as an Analgesic

Another effect THCP-O likely provides is particularly potent analgesic properties, which improve the way in which our nervous system reacts to pain.  Analgesics interfere with the brain’s ability to receive pain signals from the body’s pain receptors, basically raising our sensitivity to pain so that we’re less likely to be affected by it.

#7: THCP-O May Balance Neurological Function

Cannabis researchers are taking particular interest in the role that THC has on neurological function, which may offer surprising relief from symptoms related to neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis and epilepsyTHCP-O has no reason to not mimic these effects, since THC-P works on the same receptors as delta 9 THC that are associated with neurological properties.

THCP-O: More Than a Cannabinoid for Getting Really High

Clearly, THCP-O Acetate tons of promise – more than a cannabinoid that delivers a potent high.  Given its lineage, it’s safe to assume that THCP-O carries the same potential benefits as tetrahydrocannabiphorol, only stronger.  Now that THCP-O is becoming available on the market, and even at Binoid, you can test it out for yourself to see how it compares to your other favorite cannabinoids when it comes to things like pain, stress and sleep, and anything else from which you’re hoping to get some holistic, hemp-derived relief.
