Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. purchased the “Cura” company which is the owning company behind Select and Social CBD that many consumers know. Curaleaf is a top vertically integrated cannabis company that signed a definitive agreement to purchase Cura Partners Inc. in early May of 2019.
The acquisition was an all-stock transaction that at the time of purchase was valued at $948.8 million. The acquisition includes all of Select’s manufacturing, processing, distribution, retail operations, and marketing. As well as the brand name and intellectual property.
Select CBD History:
Select CBD is a top and quickly expanding cannabis company that sells varying levels of THC and CBD products. Their company that is based in Portland, Oregon, and most of their products manufactured from a company named GenCanna, who is located in Oregon. Select CBD’s hemp-derived products contain 0% THC. Paired with naturally extracted essential oils, each product is designed to capture the harmony between pure CBD and herbs.
According to their website Select got their start by the founder identifying and solving a problem that nobody else knew existed. Their founder wanted to bring CBD to the vape world. Two years later that spirit of innovation persists, in making Select a large scale CBD brand.
Select/Social CBD Oil General Guide:
Select and Social CBD oil drop contain 0% THC and 99.2% THC by dry weight. Their CBD oil drops are made using CBD Isolate, which is a clear powder. This is the reason why it is a clear bottle and oil. CBD isolate means the CBD is isolated from the rest of the cannabinoids. In terms of percentages, this is why it is 0% THC and 99.2% THC. Any CBD percentage above 99% is great.
However, many high quality brands contain higher than 99.5%. Such as Medterra CBD. However, the difference is, is that Select CBD gets their Hemp from one of the best and most professional farms/labs in GenCanna. This makes their product super high quality, even with a lower CBD percentage.

Because all of the tinctures contain the same amount of CBD, and only differ on flavor, we will review our observations and effectiveness here. Then we will review each product flavor and taste individually below. In terms of effectiveness, I take the Select CBD oil drops around 30 minutes before I sleep, and I definitely feel myself get tired around 15-20 minutes later. Our Review: The Select Lavender CBD Oil has a slight floral taste, that tastes as if only a hint of Lavender was put into the oil. I wouldn’t describe the taste as pleasant, but I would not describe it as bad either. It is better than having Pure CBD oil on its own. The aftertaste is just “ok”. People who enjoy the taste of Lavender will enjoy this flavor.

Our Review: The color of the Select CBD Lemon Ginger Oil is a type of yellow, similar to the look of full spectrum CBD oil, except a little bit lighter. The taste is mellow, but you can definitely taste the Lemon Ginger. I am normally not a fan of Ginger, but this CBD oil does not taste bad at all. It is a quite pleasant taste. There is also a slight consistency of the coconut oil, but that is to be expected. The after taste is not great, so I would suggest washing it down with water after consumption.

Our Review: The Peppermint Flavor Select CBD oil drop is one of my favorite flavors of CBD by far. I’m a big fan of peppermint, but this tincture also did the mix of flavoring well. It is not too strong of a minty flavor like gum, but it has a hint that leaves a tasty aftertaste.

Our Review: The unflavored Select CBD oil is nothing to write home about in terms of flavor, because it has no flavor. But having no flavor is a good thing when it comes to CBD, because CBD is naturally bitter. CBD isolate removes a lot of that bitter flavoring, but the Select drops are as good as it gets for Pure Isolate CBD oil. If you’re into simple tastes, or do not like a lot of tastes this is for you.
Select Quality Control:
